Meet our Gym Staff
Sharon Rashidi, Owner/Fitness Director
Sharon is a graduate of California State University Northridge and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education. She is a nationally certified fitness leader, certified through International Fitness Trainers of America. Sharon also is a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer.
Sharon has been a dedicated health professional for more than 24 years and has been a professional fitness leader for the past 19 years. In addition, she is certified to teach Turbo Kick®, Zumba® Fitness, Pilates, Resist-A-Ball C.O.R.E, Medicine Ball, Step, Boot-Camp, High-Low Cardio Training, Yoga, Tabata, Kettle-Bell, R.I.P.P.E.D®, and Drums Alive! ®.

Jennifer Brenes – Gym Supervisor

Jennifer is bilingual with more than 10 years in customer service experience. Jennifer participates in many classes that are offered at Perfect Workout Gym. She is always available to answer any questions you might have concerning the classes.
Debbie Gautreau – Front Desk/Child Watch
Debbie is a loving caregiver dedicated to her husband, Thomas, and their three children. She has 20 plus years experience in Childcare Development and loves working with those that enjoy being fit and healthy. Her hobbies include cooking, eating healthy, and relaxing at the beach.
Rashad Turner – Front Desk
Rashad is a recent graduate of Bandys High School. He is a hard worker who has been involved in the fitness environment since a young age. Rashad’s hobbies inlcude playing basketball, softball, and anything involving cars.
Donovan Hopper – Front Desk – Team Lead
Donovan is a recent graduate of Western Carolina University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Entrepreneurship with a minor in Coaching. Donovan has a huge passion for fitness and has been a Certified Personal Trainer for 4 years. He loves to motivate people and always welcomes everyone with a smile.

Colin Robinson – Front Desk
Colin is currently attending CVCC currently, and plans on transferring to UNC Charlotte to pursue a bachelor degree in physical fitness. Colin’s hobbies include working out, playing games and hanging with the boys.

Emilie Sandel “Ash”- Front Desk
Ash is currently a senior who will be attending CVCC in the fall to pursue a teaching career. In her free time she loves to box, draw and workout with her mom.
Zach Gautreau – Front Desk
Zach is a recent graduate from Penn Foster High School. He enjoys staying healthy and fit. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
William Johnson – Front Desk
William is a recent graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University with a degree in Medical Studies, and also holds a certificate in EMT. He loves fitness because of its ability to improve all aspects of life. Williams hobbies include lifting weights, golfing, and outdoor adventures.
Anacelia Garriga “Ana” – Child Watch
Ana is a new mom to a beautiful baby girl. She absolutely loves working with children. Ana enjoys being a part of the Perfect Workout Gym community and the common goal: TO BE FIT & HEALTHY. In Ana’s spare time she enjoys trying new foods, hiking & relaxing with a good book or movie.
Brianna Alfaro – Child Watch
Brianna Alfaro currently attends Saint Stephens High School and is planning to attend college after. She loves kids and making them smile brings her so much joy. She babysits some on the side and also helps with her coach small children with her Tennis Coach. Bri is a kind person who loves working out, being outdoors and cooking.

Becky Dellinger – Fitness Instructor
Becky is both a nationally certified group exercise instructor and a personal trainer. She has been certified for group fitness exercise for the past 18 years through NDEITA. She is married and has one daughter. Becky’s favorite quote: Exercise- “you don’t have time not to.”
Maria Yolanda Robles – Zumba Gold Instructor
Maria has been with us since 2010, first as a member, then as a Zumba Gold instructor. Although she can teach many other types of Zumba, she enjoys teaching Zumba Gold the most. Her goal is to teach people with different needs; physical or emotional.
Maria was part of different Amateur Folkloric Dance Companies for 20 years. She’s been working with Catawba County School system for about 10 years. She is a bilingual specialist, has her Bachelors of Science degree in Education from Mexico, and her N. C. Teaching License for k-12 Spanish and K-12 ESL. She is proud of her two daughters and her first granddaughter.
Dancing is part of her life and promotes others to lift their souls as well their bodies, as she always says: “Life shouldn’t be too serious, so let it go, let it God, and dance.”
Michelle Williams – Group Exercise
Michelle has been AFAA certified since 1995 and began teaching group exercise that same year. Michelle has taught at the YMCA, local churches and a couple of civic groups. She is happily married and mother of three grown independent children. Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Lenoir-Rhyne College and is employed for Catawba County in Information Technology. Her passion is motivating people to work out or just move. She believes that mobility allows people to remain independent.
Michelle Deese – Yoga Instructor
Michelle has been practicing yoga for some 20+ years. She has been teaching yoga basics in a gentle and accessible way for more than 10 years. Her yoga training has primarily been in Iyengar and Anusara forms of Hatha Yoga. Her classes consist of an eclectic mix of her various trainings; and are suitable for beginners or those returning to the basics. She offers posture variations to suit your practice.
Kim Wilson – Spin Instructor
Kim is a mother of 2 teenage girls, a hairstylist, and is dedicated to fitness. She started her health journey 3 years ago and is dedicated to the gym 5 days a week. Kim thinks it is important not only to help yourself become healthier but others who struggle with their own journey. Teaching spin gives Kim the opportunity to help others gain that confidence in getting back into shape!
Maria Phillips – Step Aerobic Instructor
Maria is a certified Xtreme Hip Hop Step instructor who enjoys being active and having fun all at the same time. Maria is a single parent is blessed with a beautiful daughter. She is also active with her In Action Service League (LIA) Service League as Marketing Coordinator for Ladies. The mission is “To empower youth and young adults to make a difference in the world.”
Lamar Tillison – Boot Camp Instructor/Personal Trainer
Lamar has been teaching BOOTCAMP classes for 10+ years and is also a certified personal trainer. His passion is to help gym goers feel motivated to stay accountable and work to achieve their fitness goals. His boot-campers attest that while Lamar pushes them to new limits in his group exercise classes, he always finds a way to make exercise fun.

Paige Konsul – Spin Instructor/Personal Trainer
Paige is a recent UNCC graduate with her Bachelor of Arts in Health Communication Studies. She has been teaching group exercise classes since she was 18 years old and is certified to teach Group Ride, Barre and P90x and is also a certified personal trainer. She has a passion for providing a healthy outlet for others to do good for their bodies! The enthusiasm and energy of her classes is the fuel that keeps her going!
Carrie Carleo – Yoga Instructor
Carrie is a mother of a 17 year old son and 14 year old daughter, a Registered Nurse and a certified RYT-200 yoga instructor. She loves all forms of movement, but, especially, strength training and yoga. The gym is one of her favorite places to spend her free time. She loves the community that teaching yoga classes builds, and firmly believes that movement practices keep not only your physical body in shape, but your mind and spirit as well.
Wanda Bevins – Spin & Senior Instructor
Wanda has held a variety of health and wellness positions over the last 23 years. Wanda received her Personal Trainer/Cycle Instructor certificate in 1999. She also holds a degree in Health & Wellness. She enjoys working with the senior population at Perfect Workout Gym.
Ginger – Mascot
Ginger is Perfect Workout Gym’s Mascot and loyal door greeter. She is a Certified Therapy dog and is always around to give you a little extra motivation for your workout, provided you give her a belly rub or two.
