Meet our Class Instructors & Personal Trainers

Maria Yolanda Robles

Maria Yolanda Robles – Yoga Instructor


Maria has been with us since 2010, first as a member, then as a Yoga instructor. Although she can teach many other types of yoga, she enjoys teaching beginners yoga the most. Her goal is to teach people with different needs, physical or emotional.


Maria was part of different Amateur Folkloric Dance Companies for 20 years. She’s been working with Catawba County School system for about 10 years. She is a bilingual specialist, has her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Mexico, and her N. C. Teaching License for k-12 Spanish and K-12 ESL. She is proud of her two daughters and her first granddaughter.


Dancing is part of her life and encourages others to lift their souls as well their bodies, as she always says: “Life shouldn’t be too serious, so let it go, let it God, and dance.”

Michelle Williams

Michelle Williams – Group Exercise


Michelle has been AFAA certified since 1995 and began teaching group exercises that same year. Michelle has taught at the YMCA, local churches, and a couple of civic groups. She is happily married and the mother of three grown independent children. Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Lenoir-Rhyne College and is employed for Catawba County in Information Technology. Her passion is motivating people to work out or just move. She believes that mobility allows people to remain independent. 

Micheal Phillips – Step Aerobic Instructor


Micheal is a certified Xtreme Hip-Hop Instructor who brings a smile and energy into each class he leads. He loves helping people ease into a healthy and active lifestyle with a "Make it Fun!" attitude.

Micheal lives by the motto of “being your true and authentic self as there is only one you."

Dawn Dewitt – Zumba Instructor

  

Dawn has been certified since 1999 as a personal trainer and AFFA group fitness. She became a licensed Zumba instructor and began teaching Zumba Fitness classes in 2008. She holds licenses in several different formats of Zumba including Toning, Step, Sentao, Aqua Zumba, and Strong Nation by Zumba. She has hosted many community events, parties, demos and Zumba fundraisers. 

Brianna Spallino – Spin & Yoga Instructor


Bri has been fascinated by Yoga since a young child. She traveled to Costa Rica to complete her 200 hour YTT in 2021. Bri’s classes focus on slow alignment based flows, but loves to incorporate a challenge. When not practicing yoga, she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and being with her dogs and loved ones. 

Dakotah Ledford – Personal Trainer


Dakotah is a father of two sons, and has been providing private personal training for 14+ years. When he is not in the gym Dakotah is most likely gaming with his boys or working on a DIY project.
